 Course Description  This course will cover the basics of Special Relativity and its applications, gravitation and space-time geometry as understood by General Relativity, and related physical consequences. Topics include space-time in Special Relativity (Lorentz transformations, Minkowski space, etc.), relativistic mechanics and covariant electrodynamics, historical backgrounds of General Relativity, curved space-time, geodesic equations and Einstein's gravitational field equations, and some major consequences of General Relativity.
